A2  What is the difference between standard, medium, and heavy duty tracks?

Standard tracks will meet most residential applications such as light sheer or shower curtains. Medium duty tracks are stronger, heavier and look more attractive than standard tracks. Heavy duty tracks are appropriate for thicker, heavier-hanging commercial-use curtains.

A3  Can your flexible tracks be used for straight run applications?

Yes. It can run continuously for as long as 164' for standard and medium duty tracks and 98' for heavy duty tracks. In straight run applications, recommend installing mounting hardware every 9" of track make sure all mounting hardware are lined up. The slightest off set will result in a wavy track. When straightness of track is of main concern, we also have available flexible T2 track and aluminum rigid track, both come in 8' lengths. Less mounting hardware is required in this application.

A4  Can I cut the track myself?

Yes, all you need is a hacksaw with a metal blade.

A5  What parts are required for each foot of track?

We recommend 4 rollers per foot of track to prevent your curtain from sagging too much.  For mounting hardware, we recommend one per foot for straight run application, and 9" each for curved track.  If your ceiling or wall is sharply curved, add additional mounting hardware at point of turns.

A6  How flexible are your tracks?

Even though our track has metal plates embedded, they are extremely flexible and can bend 90 degrees or more.  This allows the sliders to move freely without interruption. The diameter of a circular standard track can be as small as 12".

A7  Are your tracks ceiling mounted or wall mounted?

Our tracks can be installed on either ceilings or walls. We offer different hardware for each. When placing an order, please be sure you order the correct components.

A10  How long can I expect this track to last?

Life expectancy is 20 years.

A11  How long can a single track piece be ordered?

Our standard and medium duty tracks can be ordered in lengths up to 164 feet ontinuously without any splices or connectors.  Our heavy duty track can also be ordered in lengths up to 98 feet.  Both also come as a pre-packaged kit.

A12  Can I connect multiple track pieces together?

No.  However, butting two pieces closely together and mounting the ends securely to the ceiling or wall with ceiling or wall mounts accomplishes the same results.  Therefore, there is no need for connector pieces.

A13  What is the weight capacity for standard, medium, and heavy duty tracks?

Maximum weight supporting capacity is 33 pounds per foot of standard track with 4 rollers per foot of track. Medium and heavy duty tracks are significantly greater.

A14  Can then be bent into an S shape?

Yes, our tracks can be easily bent into S shapes as long as the mounting.  Our tracks are highly flexible and can bend 90 degrees or more without the use of a splice so that the sliders can move freely without interruption. For example, the diameter of a circular standard track can be as small as 12".

A15  Can I use your track for arch window?

Our track works the best on horizontal curve application such as bay window but it still can apply to arch window by side mounting the track with our wall mount cartridge. In this case, however, the curtain can only be stationary and will open and close like the conventional way because rollers on the top will slide down.

A16  What is your pre-packaged kit?

Our pre-packaged kit contains standard sized track 9.8 feet long, 30 rollers, 16 ceiling mount cartridges, 2 end caps, a pair of magnet catches and 16 screws and plastic anchor. It is a simple and basic way for use of one, 9' plus long shower curtain or bay window rod. We also offer a pre-packaged pack of medium sized track, which includes 24 rollers.

A17   For wall mounting applications, what is the difference between mounting cartridge (WC) and bracket (WBS or WBD)?

The distance you want between wall and track determines which hardware to use. WC 2 & 3 give you 1", while WC 1 gives you 1 1/4". WBS gets 3 1/4" max and WBD gives 5 1/2" max.

A19  How do I place an order?

You can order directly from this website. If you need further assistance, contact us via our Contact Us page. We will respond as quickly as we can.

A20  How do I determine what parts I need?

First, determine if you want the track wall mounted or ceiling mounted.

Then, determine total length of track required. It is better to order a couple of extra feet of track and supporting components than not to have enough. We recommend 4 rollers per foot of track to prevent too much curtain sag. For mounting hardware, we recommend one per foot for straight run application, and 9" for curved track. If your ceiling or wall is sharply curved, add additional mounting hardware at point of turns.
