With Respect to Secure Site Information:
How does it all really work?

  1. After filling in your order details and pressed "Check Out", all data submitted is encrypted using 128 bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption.
  2. After you have completed your order and are ready to check out, you will be prompted to continue your order by clicking on "Check Out." At this point, your browser checks for a "site certificate" to confirm that it is communicating with QualityCurtainHardware.com. Once a positive ID is made, your order continues.
  3. At this point, your computer enters "Secure Mode" and our server begin communicating in secure mode, sending data back and forth in an encrypted format. We are then ready to ask you for your credit card information. The encryption feature of browser software is exceptionally powerful and ensures the security of this data as it is transmitted to our server.

How can you tell when you are on a Secure Site?
The standard, unsecured URL address begins "http://". When you enter secure mode, the beginning of the URL address will change to "https://"; the "s" stands for secure.
Once the URL changes to "https://" you can be sure your browser window is in secure mode.
