Return Policy

Receiving Merchandise:
As is common in the shipping industry, it is the responsibility of the customer to inspect all items before receiving the shipment.  Never accept any damaged packages from carriers.  Always inspect all packages and product upon receipt.  Freight Damage claims must be filed within 5 business days of delivery.  Most shipping companies require the original packaging be retained for inspection by a representative.  

Return Policy:
QualityCurtainHardware.com does NOT establish the return policies.  All return policies are established in conjunction with our suppliers and manufacturers.

Any product that has been modifed in any way i/e: stained, painted, cut, drilled, scratched or screwed, is NOT eligible for return.  Many manufactures even include opened products as being ineligible. 

Each manufacturer or supplier has its own return policies.  Contact us for details.  

If any product is delivered to the customer damaged, a report must be filed with us within 5 days of receipt.

Any product damaged in shipping will be replace at no additional cost to the customer once we receive proof of damage. Most product on our site is custom-made to order.  Any product that has been modified in any way i/e: cut, stained, painted, drilled, scratched or screwed, is NOT eligible for return.  This includes finishes applied by the manufacturer as requested per the order.  Any prepackaged sets are NOT eligible for return if the package has been opened.

For any product returned that was part of an order that received free shipping, the refund amount will be the price of that item less any re-stocking fees plus whatever the cost would have been for shipping that particular item.  

Some manufacturers keep certain high-volume popular items with certain finishes in inventory and allow for these items to be returned.  It is best to first call for details.  Please contact us and we will see what we can do to assist you in your pursuit for a return or exchange.  Any item approved for a return or exchange will be subject to a restocking fee.  Restocking fees are established by the manufacturer and may differ from one product line to another.  The customer is responsible for all return shipping expenses.

All Return Authorizations must be approved prior to the return of any product.  Any product returned without a return authorization number to reference will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender.  Please make sure you follow this procedure as a strict enforcement of  this policy is the only way to effectively manage returns.

If any product is not the correct size or item type ordered due to our error, the item will be replaced with the correct item as originally ordered at no cost to the customer.  If the product was incorrectly ordered by the customer, i/e:  wrong product size, finish, color, length, etc, we will be glad to replace the original product at the customers expense with the correct product. However, charges for the original product and any shipping and handling fees cannot be credited for customer mistakes.  Orders that are placed with errors that are identified by our quality review process prior to shipping that results in an order being modified and a refund issued, that item will be deemed the same as a returned item and the amount being refunded will be subject to a return / processing fee of not less than 25% of the price of the item in question. 

Custom-Made Products:
Custom products are just that, Custom-Made and are not generally eligible for re-sale.  Therefore, once an order is received, processed and submitted to our suppliers, it can not be canceled.  So please, make sure your order is what you expect it to be and is placed correctly the first time.

All Finial Company products are custom fabricated and are NOT RETURNABLE.

All Flexible Track are custom cut and are NOT RETURNABLE.

All Gould products are custom fabricated and are NOT RETURNABLE.

All Gould Traverse Systems are custom fabricated and are NOT RETURNABLE. 

All Graber products are custom fabricated and are NOT RETURNABLE.

Motorized Traverse Disclaimer:

All sales of motorized traverse systems are final and are NOT returnable.  Motorizing a Traverse Pole requires a significant understanding of the process.  This includes the total weight of the drapery fabric, limitations of the motor system, limitations of the traverse pole, the construction of the wall on which the system is being installed and the technical knowledge to properly install the system.  Since QualityCurtainHardware.com has no control over how or where the system is installed, the manner in which it is installed or the capability of the person installing the system, the customer assumes all responsiblity and exempts QualityCurtainHardware from any liability.  Motorizing a traditional corded traverse pole voids any warranty the product may carry and is not returnable.

Damaged Products:
All product should be inspected upon delivery for freight damage.  All damage claims must be received by QualityCurtainHardware within 5 business days of receipt of goods.  Claims reported after 5 business days will not be accepted.  All shippers require all packaging materials and damaged items be kept in order for a representative to inspect the goods.  Merchandise damaged in shipping will be replaced if the claim has been reported within 5 business days.

Return Authorization Request Form:
To initiate a request for a Return Authorization, please fill out the online form below.  

If a return is authorized due to an error on the part of QualityCurtainHardware.com, a supplier, or manufacturer, a total refund will be given and all return freight expenses will be the responsibility of QualityCurtainHardware.com.  All merchandise must be returned in its original shipping packaging with any and all included hardware and literature.   

If a return is authorized due to any other reason, a refund will be given to the customer less all original shipping and handling fees plus any restocking fees.  The customer will also be responsible for all return shipping charges as well as for the cost of any replacement items.  All merchandise must be returned in its original shipping packaging with any and all included hardware and literature.

Return Authorization Request Form:

This form is a request for product return authorization only. It is NOT an approval to return any merchandise.  Any approval will come via a separate email from this web store. Do NOT send anything back to the manufacturer until you have been authorized to do so and provided a return authorization number.

Most products sold on this web store are custom in some fashion or another. Therefore, please submit this request form and WAIT until you have received a return authorization before returning anything to any manufacturer. When product is damaged by the carrier (UPS, FedEx, etc.) please refuse delivery if possible, then fill out this form detailing the damage. All manufacturers require photographic proof of any damage to the packaging and the product. The photos can be attached to this form or an email containing the photographs can be sent to returns@qualitycurtainhardware.com.

Orders Shipped in Error:

All orders shipped in error will be replaced with the corrected items. We will assume the cost of shipping the correct items and picking up the incorrect items.
